Detroit Business Consulting sent several members of management to London, England this past weekend for a gala event in true class. The team arrived on Thursday so they had two days to visit offices in the UK that focus on sales and marketing. CEO Michael Rosenberg explained, “This is the 5th time I have been to London for business and I think it gets better every time. I’ve built such strong relationships with several entrepreneurs over here that it makes it even more rewarding to visit. We’re definitely here for work, but when you make so many friends in the process, it’s just as much work as pleasure.”
The gala event Saturday night was a black tie affair withe women in classy gowns. There was a silent auction for charity and a charity poker event after the gala. Several awards were distributed throughout the evening to recognize those entrepreneurs who had a growth-filled year in 2015.
Judson Gibson, assistant manager at Detroit Business Consulting, spoke about the event by saying, “It was an unbelievable experience to be around the top people in the UK, see the intensity they have and gain an understanding of their mindset on the opportunity this business has to offer. I have a much clearer vision of the direction I want to go now.”

Detroit Business Consulting is busy preparing for 3 major conferences coming up. Next weekend, we will be hosting a leadership and management training seminar for sales and marketing companies in the Midwest. This will give team members from every spectrum of experience the opportunity to network and sharpen their skills.
In May, a select few managers will be traveling to the UK to attend a national conference there. This is only for senior level management and will highlight accomplishments from this past year, as well as serve as a “meeting of the minds” for entrepreneurs from the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
In July, we have our own U.S. national conference where we will bring recognition to those who celebrated milestone accomplishments in 2015. At all of these events, networking and development are key factors. How often does someone get to be in a room filled with successful entrepreneurs who are sharing their business experiences and lessons? Probably not often, but we will be doing just that in a few short months!

Take a moment today to reflect on the importance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. He was a man who fought for civil rights, but also had a strong focus on the need to do work that benefited others. The holiday is recognized as a federal holiday and John Conyers, a Congressman from Michigan, was the man who first introduced legislation for a commemorative holiday.
Here are a few facts for you about MLK Day:
- Illinois is first state to adopt Martin Luther King Day as a state holiday
- Congress passes, President Reagan signs, legislation creating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in 1983
- It’s always celebrated the 3rd Monday in January
The management team at Detroit Business Consulting will be in Chicago this week for a special training seminar for those in the highest management positions. Brian Herbert said, “The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice.” This is a belief we hold strong at DBC and one of the reasons we are always traveling for conferences, training seminars and networking events. If you are going to go far in your business and plan to continuously develop your skills, it’s imperative that the learning and development never stop.
Our team will return Thursday evening and prepare for a fun weekend ahead! Friday, we have an assistant management promotion at our Troy office and Friday night we have our company Christmas party. Individuals and business owners will be visiting from Illinois, Florida, Wisconsin and around the state of Michigan to attend the event. Look for the pictures that will follow these events!

Detroit Business Consulting had a bustling morning yesterday with the excitement and promotion of Cameron Bazin. Cameron was promoted to assistant management after earning the promotion last week. The whole office space was decorated; there were pink streamers covering the conference room, festive donuts and treats, and you couldn’t leave the office without having a trail of confetti follow you out.
Cameron has a unique history with the company. He started working with Detroit business Consulting during the summer of 2014 as an intern. He learned the basics of the sales and marketing before returning back to school where he was working toward his degree and playing collegiate lacrosse. Even though Cameron was back at school, he still stayed in touch with the management at Detroit Business Consulting and attended conferences and events with the company with the intent to return in the spring. That’s exactly what he did. This summer, Cameron returned to our office in Troy and was ultra focused on being promoted to management in a short amount of time.
In his speech yesterday, he focused on the things many people do wrong that hinder them from seeing and earning their full potential. Cam said, “Doubt is only removed by action. If you’re not working, that’s when doubt comes in.” He went on to explain that when people aren’t seeing the results they want, they usually start to doubt themselves, the structure, the system, whatever it may be. But to move past that doubt, they need to take action to fix it. It’s not the system or themselves that they should be doubting, it’s the lack of action they are taking to improve and get the results they want.
We are excited to have Cam join the management team. His next step for us is to earn a full management position where he can oversee and run a campaign. We are all looking forward to that!

On July 11th, our team traveled to Baltimore for our national sales and marketing conference with the best-of-the-best in our business. Industry leaders from across the world were in attendance, including entrepreneurs from South Africa, Australia, the USA, Canada, and the UK. Members of Detroit Business Consulting were recognized for their leadership, sales expertise and management. Let’s just say, we came home weighed down with trophies and knowledge!
Individuals recognized at the conference included Jordyne Mates for her excellence in quality and sales. Cameron Bazin, Lyndsey Look, Robert Rech and Anthony Gross all received awards for their performance so far with the company. It was very exciting for everyone at Detroit Business Consulting to see CEO Michael Rosenberg receive a promotion to Regional Consultant. His ability to manage many individuals and managers and consistently provide top-notch results for his clients earned him huge recognition at the conference! Just under 2,000 individuals attended the event to help grow their knowledge and network with top executives. Once a year we get to attend a national conference. Other conferences are held throughout the year on a regional level, but this one typically tops them all with entertainment, information and a phenomenal opportunity to surround yourself with successful and driven people. We are looking forward to next year already!

Detroit Business Consulting, Inc. sent three members of management to the UK for a national conference about management and leadership, and to network with top industry leaders. Alexander Cooney, current Assistant Manager at DBC, talked about the conference by saying, “It was quite an experience to see 1,500 very impressive people all in one room to come together for a common goal. It’s motivating to surround yourself with other individuals who are in your line of work and striving to learn and improve themselves.”
In addition to attending the conference, they were able to spend time site-seeing in London and visited the London Bridge, Buckingham Palace, and ate lots of fish and chips! Before heading back to the U.S., the team visited Stonehenge to see the prehistoric monuments. Where will our next trip be? We’re not 100% sure yet, but we are sure it will be phenomenal!

The Detroit Business Consulting management team traveled to Atlantic City this weekend for management training. In the words of assistant manager Matt Pfeffer, “It was an amazing experience and even better than I expected.” Entrepreneurs from across the world gathered together for a “meeting of the minds” to share their strategies, successes and development plans. Speakers at the event included consultants, vice presidents and CEO’s from Australia, Scotland, Canada, Portugal, Italy, the UK and the USA. Each speaker had varying levels of experience and collectively, they provided a full conference of learning and amazing networking opportunities.
We were also able to experience Atlantic City, but with a hotel as action-packed as the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, we didn’t have much need to venture out of the hotel area. CEO, Michael Rosenberg stated, “You can’t put a price on knowledge shared and relationships formed. I’ve had many business partners that have become great friends, and it’s conferences like this that help us grow as professionals and individuals.”
Detroit Business Consulting will be hosting a conference this weekend for the newer members of our team in Troy, MI. Since Atlantic City was only for management, this weekend will focus on the development of the rest of our team in Troy.
